Stefan Schulz (* 1983 in Jena ) is a German sociologist , blogger , journalist , podcaster and publicist .

Stefan Schulz studied sociology at Bielefeld University . After completing his diploma thesis, he began a doctorate on the subject of "Peasant families of the 12th century with their problem of the first communication among strangers". Together with fellow students, Schulz also founded the social theorists blog in 2008 . When Frank Schirrmacher offered him a traineeship at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung based on the articles published there, Schulz decided to work as a journalist.

From August 2011 to December 2014, Stefan Schulz worked for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung . The main topics of his contributions were, above all, the influences of media change on journalism, social and economic structural changes in and through the Internet and the effects of modern surveillance options. After about two years of employment, he published articles for the Internet world blog Digital Twin in the online editorial office .

In March 2014 he met Tilo Jung during an interview for the FAZ . Since then, they have been working together professionally: Schulz advises Jung & Naiv 's interview format and produced the podcast Aufwachen! From April 2015 to July 2020 together with Jung & Naiv . , in which they talked about how the current affairs of the day had been processed journalistically in the public television news of the previous week. The 444th and final episode was released on July 21, 2020.

Stefan Schulz is married, has three children and lives in Frankfurt am Main .
