Stefan Storr
Stefan Storr (born January 8, 1968 in Munich ) is a German law scholar and university professor . Storr has been Professor of Public Law at the Institute for Austrian and European Public Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business since October 2018 .

Stefan Storr was born on January 8, 1968 in Munich , where he attended elementary school from 1974 to 1978 and the Klenze grammar school from 1978 to 1987 . In June 1987 he finished school with a high school diploma . Subsequently, Storr began studying law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1989 he switched to further studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , where he finally passed the first state examination in February 1992 . Subsequently, in April 1992, Stefan Storr became a research assistant at the Chair for Constitutional and Administrative Law ,European law , public economic and environmental law of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena . Storr also received his doctorate in law ( Dr. iur. ) In December 1994 in Jena . At the same time, he completed the legal clerkship at the Gera District Court from November 1993 to December 1995 and finally passed the second state examination in law.
From 1996 to 2001 he was in a row as a research assistant employed at the University of Jena, where he finally in April 2001 habilitation was and thus the teaching license ( venia legendi ) for Heads of State and Administrative Law, Financial constitutional law received and European law.
Professional background
From October 2001, Stefan Storr took over for the first time the representation of the very chair where he was previously active as a research assistant: He became the representative of the chair for constitutional and administrative law, European law, public economic and environmental law at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. At the same time, in October 2001, he also accepted a teaching position at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg . From November 2002 to March 2003, Stefan Storr worked briefly as a lawyer in Leipzig , before he returned to the academic environment and in April 2003 he represented the chair for public law, in particular German and Bavarian constitutional and administrative law as well as public social law at the Ludwig-Maximilians -University of Munich took over.
From April 2004 Stefan Storr took up a teaching position at the University of Bayreuth , at the same time he was appointed to the chair for public law, in particular administrative law, administrative sciences and comparative law at the Technical University of Dresden . A year later he switched to the substitute chair for public law, in particular constitutional law, environmental and commercial law at the same university. In May 2007 the TU Dresden awarded Stefan Storr the title of “Extraordinary Professor” .
In February 2008, Stefan Storr finally accepted a full professorship at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz . He was appointed university professor for public law and commercial law in the Austrian city. In addition, Storr took a teaching position at the TU Dresden and, on two occasions, a position as visiting professor at the School of Law at Rutgers University in the United States . From October 2010 to October 2011 Storr was head of the Institute for Austrian, European and Comparative Public Law, Political Science and Administrative Studies at the University of Graz, from October 2011 to September 2016 Vice Dean and Research Dean of the Faculty of Law and finally, from October 2016, Dean of the Faculty of Law University of Graz.
In 2018, Stefan Storr left the University of Graz as acting dean in order to accept a professorship for public law at the Institute for Austrian and European Public Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business from October 2018 .
