Stefano Manetti
Stefano Manetti (born April 20, 1959 in Florence , Italy ) is Bishop of Montepulciano-Chiusi-Pienza .
Life
Stefano Manetti received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Florence on April 19, 1984 . From 1984 to 1987 he was pastor in Coverciano and then chaplain of the youth parish of San Michele . In January 1999 Manetti became chaplain of the youth department of Catholic Action in Italy. In 2002 he became Spiritual of the Florence Seminary , where he became Rector in 2005. Since 2009 he was canon of the cathedral chapter of Florence.
On January 31, 2014, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Montepulciano-Chiusi-Pienza. He was ordained bishop on March 25th of the same year from Giuseppe Cardinal Betori , Archbishop of Florence. Co- consecrators were Silvano Cardinal Piovanelli , Archbishop Emeritus of Florence, Gualtiero Cardinal Bassetti , Archbishop of Perugia-Città della Pieve , Rodolfo Cetoloni , Bishop of Grosseto and Claudio Maniago , Auxiliary Bishop in the Archdiocese of Florence. The inauguration took place on April 13, 2014.
