Steffen Klumpp

Steffen Klumpp (* 1972 in Baden-Baden ) is a German legal scholar.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1992 and doing basic military service in Ebern and Karlsruhe in 1992/1993 , he studied law at the University of Mannheim from 1993 to 1998 (first state examination in law). After completing his doctorate in 2001 with a dissertation on claims law and the second state examination in 2003, he was a research assistant at the Center for Industrial Relations and Labor Law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 2003 to 2005 (Director: Volker Rieble ). From 2005 to 2007 he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Foundation for Industrial Relations and Labor Law. After his habilitation in 2007 ( venia legendi for the subjects of civil law, labor law and social law; private lecturer at the law faculty of the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich ), he worked for Siemens AG in Munich in 2007 . From 2007 to 2008 he held the chair for civil law, labor law, commercial and corporate law at the University of Passau . From 2008 to 2009 he represented the chair for civil law, civil procedural law and voluntary jurisdiction (winter semester 2008/2009) and the chair for labor and social law (summer semester 2009) at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg . In 2009 he was appointed to the chair for labor and social law at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen - Nuremberg (chair holder since November 2009).
