The Steinbach or Dörnsteinbach is a right tributary of the Kahl in the district of Aschaffenburg in the Bavarian Spessart .

Surname

The name Steinbach means brook with stony subsoil . He gave the places Dörnsteinbach and Niedersteinbach their names.

The Steinbach rises northeast of Dörnsteinbach below the Aussiedlerhof. It flows through the place and reaches the so-called old ground . The valley lies between the Herrenberg and the Kohlberg . There it is passed over a concrete channel and serves as a water supply for several ponds . Before Niedersteinbach it flows into a canal system , which it leaves again near the stop of the Kahl – Schöllkrippen railway line and flows into the Kahl .
