habitat
The rock bass is native to North America. There you can find it from Manitoba to Québec (both Canada ) and from there the Mississippi catchment area further south to the mouth in Louisiana ( USA ) and to the east coast. He is also naturalized in Colorado and Wyoming in the United States . In the 19th century the species came to Europe. In 1877 it was imported to France . However, the animals were not bred there. 10 years later, Max received 20 individuals from Virginia (USA) from the Borne in Germany . He was able to raise 12 of these to sexual maturity and use them to breed numerous offspring. The current occurrence in Europe is considered to be inconsistent or extinct. If there are populations, they are most likely to be found in the south west of England .
