The Steinberg is a 829.8 m above sea level. NHN high, wooded elevation in the southern Bavarian Forest between the villages of Büchlberg , Waldkirchen and Hauzenberg . The border between the district of Passau and the district of Freyung-Grafenau runs over the summit .
Lookout tower and restaurant
At the highest point of the Steinberg, which can be reached via an asphalt public road, there is a mountain restaurant and the Oberlichtenau observation tower , which enables a comprehensive panorama.
