The Stempfelbach is a 32 km long orographically right tributary of the March in Lower Austria east of Vienna . The water is part of the Marchfeld Canal System.

Obersiebenbrunn Canal

The Obersiebenbrunn Canal (water ID: 300239) was created in connection with the construction of the Marchfeld Canal system. The artificially created, naturally developed water is at weirs 6 and 7 from the Russbach to 151.4  m above sea level. A. knocked off. The first 1800 m long section of the canal runs in a north-northeast direction. The next approximately 700 m long section to weir 8 runs the canal in an easterly direction. With the weir, the direction of the canal changes to northeast for the last 1900 m long section. The Obersiebenbrunn Canal goes around 4.4 km to 149.3  m above sea level. A. into the Stempfelbach. One aim of the building was to improve the ecological situation of the Stempfelbach by supplying water.

Stempfelbach

The Stempfelbach (water ID: 300325) begins its natural course about 2.2 km northwest of Obersiebenbrunn at 149.3  m above sea level. A. From here the brook flows mainly in a south-easterly direction towards Obersiebenbrunn and crosses the park of Obersiebenbrunn Castle . The stream reaches Untersiebenbrunn parallel to Siebenbrunner Straße . Here the stream is channeled through the village along the main road. The canal ends south of Bahnstrasse. The Stempfelbach passes Lassee on the northern outskirts, flowing further in south-easterly directions . After a further 2.5 km of flowing, the river reaches the Lassee recreation center . After a distance of about 27.5 km, the Stempfelbach flows out at 137.8  m above sea level. A. at Markthof in the March .
