Artistic work

Stepan Ryabchenko uses digital technologies for his artistic work and projects. In a combination of figurative and abstract-futuristic visual language, he creates large-format digital prints and computer animations that function as “fragments” of the virtual universe he has created. Often imagined plants and animals are depicted in these works - surrealistic forms of life that exist according to the laws of the world set up for them by the artist.

Virtual landscapes, in which Ryabchenko develops the stories of his protagonists, form an independent, multi-dimensional reality. The appearance of this space is far removed from anything urban and technoid, although its origin lies in the technological, digital realm.

In his works with a different orientation, Stepan Ryabchenko examines digital “anti-heroes” and gives computer viruses a visual shape. Using a component of the technological development of mankind as an instrument, the artist turns to the topic of the relationship between man and his virtual and natural environment.
