Stephan Loge (born July 18, 1959 in Görlitz ) is a German politician ( SPD ). Since 2008 he has been the district administrator of the Dahme-Spreewald district .

education and profession

Stephan Loge attended a polytechnic high school and then completed vocational training as a skilled worker for rail transport technology from 1976 to 1978 . After this training, Loge worked for four years as a dispatcher at the train station in Uhsmannsdorf near Niesky . After completing his two-year military service , he did a correspondence course from 1981 to 1986 at the engineering school for transport technology . At the same time, Loge worked as a train dispatcher at the Reichsbahnamt Bautzen until 1990 .

Political activity

In 1990 Loge joined the SPD . From 1990 to 1994 he was head of department for municipal companies at the city of Görlitz. Subsequently, Loge was regional managing director of SGK Saxony and then from 1995 to 2002 second mayor of the large district town of Freital . In addition, Loge was a city ​​councilor for the city of Görlitz and then from 1999 to 2001 the community representative of the Schöpstal community .

From 2002 Loge was deputy district administrator in the Dahme-Spreewald district. From 2004 he was chairman of the local SPD association of the city of Lübben (Spreewald) . In March 2008 Loge was elected District Administrator of the Dahme-Spreewald district. At the same time he became the national board of the SGK. Stephan Loge has been a member of the state board of the SPD Brandenburg since 2010 , and from 2013 to April 14, 2018, he was chairman of the SPD district association Dahme-Spreewald.

Other activities

From 2009 to 2018 Stephan Loge was chairman of the Brandenburg Cycling Association . Loge also represents the Dahme-Spreewald district at various shareholders' meetings and on the supervisory board of the Berlin-Brandenburg transport association .

Stephan Loge has two daughters.
