Stephanie Lindbergh

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stephanie Lindbergh (* 1952 ) is a pop and folk music singer from Switzerland.

Life

Stephanie Lindbergh started out as a waitress, saleswoman, cashier and more before she was discovered by the Trio Eugster in 1971 . In 1971 she applied for the "Talentschuppen" of Südwestfunk. But she failed in the final round of the Berlin radio exhibition (IFA). After a short resignation, she took singing, ballet and guitar lessons. Two years later she went on tour as a singer with an orchestra. In the mid-1970s, Rolf Soja , the producer of Baccara , became aware of her and was established as the "successor" of Alexandra . Her breakthrough came with her first single Ein Frühling, ein Sommer, ein Jahr from RCA Schallplatten GmbH (now: Sony Music). She interpreted her songs with a similar sounding dark, smoky voice. But she herself didn't like to be compared to Alexandra.

Appearances in the ZDF hit parade and the ZDF turntable followed . 7 singles and two LPs were released between 1976 and 1980 . She sang the German version of the baccarat title Feel Me as Fühl mich .

In 1976 there was a big interview in Brigitte - issue 26/76.

In March 1978 she performed in the GDR at an event organized by the Berlin Cultural Association.

After 1981 it became quiet about Stephanie Lindbergh. She withdrew for private reasons. She only appeared once in 1998 as a participant in the Swiss preliminary decision for the Grand Prix of Folk Music, after she had previously shown her hit "Ein Frühling, ein Sommer, ein Jahr" in the program "Schlag auf Schlager", hosted by Leonard on Swiss television "gave the best. Stephanie Lindbergh now lives in central Switzerland.
