Lisa-Marie Woods (born May 23, 1984 in Tønsberg ) is a Norwegian soccer player .

Career

Woods was born in Tønsberg to a Scottish father and a Norwegian mother . In 2003 she went to the USA to study at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, and after her junior year moved to Middle Tennessee State University .

She started her career at Lindeberg SK. She later played for Trosterud IL and Vålerenga Oslo . In 2000 she moved to Asker SK , with whom she won the Norwegian Cup in 2005. Woods went to the United States to study in 2003 and played at Oakland University for its Golden Grizzlies Women's Soccer Team and from 2004 to 2006 for the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders Women Soccer Team . During the semester break, she continued to play for Asker FK in her homeland, Norway . In spring 2008 she moved again to North America and played in the W-League for the Canadian club Ottawa Fury . In the summer of 2008 she announced a change to the German champions 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam. After a short time, the contract was terminated at her request. Woods played for the US club Indiana FC in the spring and summer of 2009 before returning to Kolbotn IL in Norway. In January 2010 she moved to league rivals Stabæk Fotball and was named Player of the Year in November of the same year. On the last day of the 2011/2012 winter transfer period, she announced her move to the Danish UEFA Women's Champions League participant Fortuna Hjørring . After she developed into a high performer in Denmark, she was loaned from the Australian club Perth Glory from the W-League . After six months in Australia and at Ottawa Fury in Canada, she returned to Fortuna in Denmark in the summer of 2012. On March 7, 2013, the midfielder from the Danish club Fortuna Hjørring announced her move to the US NWSL club Boston Breakers . There Woods played in four league games before returning to Ottawa for two months, where she had already been under contract in 2008 and 2012. In August 2013, her move to the Norwegian first division club Lillestrøm SK Kvinner became known, from where she moved on to the Australian first division club Adelaide United in November . Woods returned to Ottawa in the spring of 2014 before rejoining Adelaide United in the fall of that year. After a season in Australia, she moved to Kazakhstan in the summer of 2015 to the master BIIK Kazygurt Schymkent , for whom she participated in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

National team

Internationally, Woods went through all Norwegian junior national teams. At the U-19 European Championship in 2003 she reached the final with her team, but lost 2-0 to France's selection . Woods was nominated for the World Cup in Germany and was also used in the friendly against Germany on June 16, 2011. A few days before the start of the tournament, however, she had to cancel due to a hip injury.
