Stephanie Nguyen

Stephanie "Lil Steph '" Nguyen (born December 31, 1986 in Denmark ) is a Danish dancer , choreographer and actress .

Life

Stephanie Nguyen is half Danish, half Vietnamese and grew up in Copenhagen . She took her first classical dance lessons at the age of five. As a teenager, she then appeared on Top of the Pops , on the BBC- produced live show CD: UK and various programs on the Disney Channel .

In 2007, she achieved her international breakthrough as a dancer at the annual Street Dance Battle Juste Debout in Paris , winning the New Style category . Since then, the “Queen of Urban Dance” has been one of the world's elite in hip-hop new style.

In 2009 she got her first role in a movie, StreetDance 3D , the world's first 3D dance film . After the shooting it was back on stage. Nguyen was hired by West End director and choreographer Anthony van Laast as a dancer for the musical Blaze - The Sensational Streetdance Show . She also played a leading role in Jerome Robbins' version of the musical West Side Story at the Gaswerk Theater in Copenhagen. In November 2010 she appeared together with the Flying Steps in the TV Total show hosted by Stefan Raab .

Since 2009 she has been regularly engaged as a lecturer for hip-hop workshops all over Europe. She led workshops in Madrid , Paris , Brussels and at the Flying Steps Dance Academy in Berlin .

At the end of September 2011 she prevailed at an audition in London and was hired by Madonna as a dancer for the MDNA world tour. The tour began on May 31, 2012 in Tel Aviv .
