Stephen Gregory

Stephen Gregory (born February 11, 1965 in Manhasset , Long Island , New York ) is an American film actor .

Gregory grew up as the youngest of seven siblings in New York, where he was educated in a Catholic school. He first enrolled at New York University , but dropped out to study acting ; his teachers were others Stella Adler and Roy London . In 1985 he made his acting debut in Cary Medoway's comedy film " Back from the Past ". He then moved to Los Angeles , where he was hired as a guest actor in some of the television series that are known to this day .

After the murder of his ex-girlfriend Rebecca Schaeffer , with whom he was still on friendly terms, he resigned from his contract in 1991 after three years of working on the soap opera Shadow of Passion and withdrew into private life. He then began working as a media consultant for a film production company before it wasn't until almost 13 years later, in 2004, that he became aware and was able to cast for the action series Law & Order: New York .
