Stephen Noteboom (born July 31, 1969 in Geldrop , North Brabant ) is a former Dutch tennis player .

Life

Noteboom started playing tennis at the age of six. Between 1987 and 1991 he attended Florida State University , and the following year he became a professional tennis player. In 1993 he won two double titles on the ATP Challenger Tour . Together with his compatriot Fernon Wibier , he received a wildcard for the ATP tournament in Rosmalen in 1994 , which they unexpectedly won. He won his second and last ATP double title in 1996 in Munich . On the ATP Challenger Tour, he also won a total of seven double titles in the course of his career. He reached his highest ranking in the tennis world rankings in 1993 with position 333 in singles and 1997 with position 52 in doubles.

In the individual, he could never qualify for a Grand Slam tournament. In the doubles competition he was in the third round of the Australian Open , the French Open and Wimbledon . In 1995 he was also in the second round of the mixed competition at Wimbledon.
