Stepping Out ( emergence ) was a dance live show of the TV channel RTL . It is a licensed version of the British TV station ITV's show of the same name , which ran in 2013, and is similar to the Let's Dance format . The broadcast of the first season began on September 11th and lasted until October 16, 2015. 2.95 million viewers watched the premiere. In an interview published on January 13, 2016 with the media magazine dwdl.de , RTL managing director Frank Hoffmann announced that the format will not be broadcast in the summer of 2016 and will pause for at least one year. The format was not continued in the following years either.
concept
In contrast to the similarly structured show Let's Dance , with Stepping Out celebrities compete with their significant other or spouse in a dance competition. They are trained by professional dancers who prepare them for six to seven weeks.
Let's Dance took over many production employees, such as the spokesman for the fast-track runner Patrick Linke and the costume designer Katia Convents.
At the final, which took place in Cologne on October 16, 2015, Anna Christiana Hofbauer and Marvin Albrecht emerged as the winners of the dance show.
