Steve Billirakis (born May 23, 1986 in Chicago , Illinois ) is a professional American poker player . He is two-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker .

Poker career

Career

At the first tournament of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in early June 2007 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas , Billirakis won his first bracelet . He prevailed heads-up against German-Canadian Greg Müller and won more than 535,000 US dollars . Billirakis thus became the youngest ever winner of a bracelet at the WSOP, as he was only ten days above the minimum age of 21 years. In total, he completed five tournaments in the prize categories at the 2007 WSOP. At the World Series of Poker Europe 2011 in Cannes , Billirakis prevailed in the Pot Limit Omaha variant against 180 opponents and won his second bracelet and a prize of almost 240,000 euros .

In total, Billirakis has earned almost three million dollars with poker in live tournaments. He plays online under the nickname MrSmokey1 .
