Steve Cole (writer)

Steve Cole (also Stephen Anthony Cole, born September 11, 1971 in Bedfordshire ) is a British author of children's books and science fiction .

Life

Cole studied literature and film at the University of East Anglia from 1989 to 1992 and graduated with a BA. He started in the children's program of the BBC and directed there from 1996 the magazine programs for the preschool age. Between 1997 and 1999 he wrote several episodes and a number of novellas for the BBC science fiction series Doctor Who . From 1999 to 2002 he worked as a publishing editor at Ladybird Books and at Simon and Schuster Children's Books . Since then he has been working as a freelance writer.

Cole published his first children's books in 1996. He was temporarily editor of the children's illustrated Noddy magazine . In 2005 he invented the book series Astrosaurs , in 2007 he started with Cows in Action , followed by Astrosaurs Academy and 2011 Young James Bond . Cole also publishes under the pseudonyms "Tara Samms" and "Paul Grice".

He lives in Buckinghamshire with his wife and two children .
