Steve Railsback
Steve Railsback (born November 16, 1945 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American actor .
Life and accomplishments
Railsback studied acting with Lee Strasberg and at the Actors Studio . In the late 1960s and 1970s, he appeared in New York theaters . He made his film debut in the 1972 thriller The Visitors by Elia Kazan . In the action comedy The Long Death of Stuntman Cameron , he played the title role of Cameron alongside Peter O'Toole and Barbara Hershey , for which he won the 1981 Golden Globe Award for Best Young Actor was nominated.
He played the leading role in the SF action film Island of the Damned . In the SF horror film Lifeforce - The Deadly Threat , he played one of the leading roles alongside Peter Firth . In the thriller Final Instinct he starred in one of the leading roles on the side of Sharon Stone . For the leading role in the thriller Ed Gein - The Wisconsin Serial Killer , he won a prize from the Festival Internacional de Cinema de Catalunya in 2000 and a prize from the Mostra Internazionale del Film de Fantascienza e del Fantastico di Roma in 2001 .
Railsback was married to Jackie Giroux from 1980 to 1988 , with whom he has one child. He married Marcy in 1990 and has two children with her.
