Steven Barras (* 3. March 1983 in Romont FR ) is a Swiss ice hockey player , all his career with HC Ajoie in the second highest league in Switzerland, the National League B spent. Since retiring from professional ice hockey, he has been playing at HC Delémont-Vallée in the 2nd division of the Regio League .

Career

Barras spent all of his junior years and his entire professional career with HC Ajoie . He played his first professional season in 1999 in the first division. In 2000 he and his team were promoted to the National League B , where the striker scored 348 goals and collected 409 assists (757 points) in 757 NLB games over the next 16 seasons. Only in the 2009/10 season he played ten games in the National League A for EHC Biel , which he reinforced on loan during the playouts. The most successful season of his career, however, was his last. In the 2015/16 season , his team surprisingly managed to win the B championship. Barras had previously been injured in the playoff semifinals, returned during the final and shot Ajoie in his very last game as a professional with three goals for the title. After retiring from professional ice hockey, Barras played in the 2nd and 3rd divisions of the Regio League at HC Delémont-Vallée and HC Vendlincourt, respectively .
