Stockholm is a village in the US state of Wisconsin in Pepin County . Stockholm was founded in 1854 by immigrants from Karlskoga in Sweden . In 2000 Stockholm had 97 inhabitants; the estimate in 2009 resulted in a population of 92. The place is in the Town (ship) of Stockholm .

Geographical location

Stockholm lies on Lake Pepin , a natural widening of the Mississippi River , which forms the border with Minnesota . Stockholm's geographic coordinates are 44 ° 29 ′  N , 92 ° 16 ′  W (44.481326, −92.259653).

According to the United States Census Bureau , the place has an area of ​​2.5 km², of which 2.4 km² is land and 0.1 km² (= 3.12%) is water.
