The Strada Statale 28 (SS28) is an Italian State Street , 1928 between the SS20 at Genola and Imperia has been set. It goes back to Strada nazionale 45, which was laid out on the same route in 1923 . Because of its leadership over the Pass Colle di Nava , it bears the title "Del Colle di Nava" . Its length is 141 kilometers. In 2001, the section between the SS20 and Fossano was graduated to the provincial road SP 428 di Genola. From the town of Pieve di Tecothe SS28 was moved to a southern bypass tunnel. In the further course towards Imperia, the SS28 was taken away from Colle San Bartolomeo in 1980 and led through a tunnel. Likewise, several bypass tunnels were built north around Chiusavecchia and further south around Pontedassio . A tunnel that should bypass the eponymous pass has been under discussion for a long time.
