The Strandby Kirke is a 1966-built daughter church of the parish Elling Sogn of the Lutheran state church . It is located in the coastal town of Strandby in Frederikshavn Kommune , Denmark . The other two churches in the parish are Jerup Kirke and Elling Kirke .

The church, which architect J. Blegvad designed on an oval floor plan, is supposed to be reminiscent of a fishing boat. The church is built on a slope with the highest point of the church to the west. With the rising roof, the association is awakened, as if the "fishing boat" was plowing a wave with its bow. The church Notre-Dame-du-Haut de Ronchamp by Le Corbusier served Blegvad as a model. The medieval round churches and the powder tower in Frederikshavn are said to have inspired Blegvad.

The church holds about 250 visitors. The church appears in different light depending on the time of day. Small square windows are set into the walls around the interior. These are sorted in their color based on the spectral colors. The light color inside changes according to the position of the sun. The interior is kept simple and bright, so the brick-built, whitewashed altar is adorned with a simple cross made of stained oak . The organ comes from Marcussen & Søn and has ten registers divided between the main work , breast work (with sill ) and pedal . There are community rooms in the basement. Storage rooms, toilets and a belfry are housed in the adjoining building. In 2011 the annex will be expanded with a 400 m² extension with group rooms and a kitchen.

The Evangelical Lutheran parish belongs to the Frederikshavn Provsti in the diocese of Aalborg .
