Frederikshavn Kommune is a Danish municipality in northern Jutland and belongs to the region of Nordjylland . It was created on January 1, 2007 in the course of local government reform by merging the "old" Frederikshavn municipality with the previous municipalities of Skagen and Sæby in the Nordjyllands Amt . 59,654 inhabitants live there on an area of 650.20 km² (as of January 1, 2020).
The administrative headquarters are in Frederikshavn . Mayor is Birgit Hansen ( Social Democrats ).
