Syvsten is a Danish town with 255 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the north of Denmark. The village is in the parish of Volstrup ( Volstrup Sogn ), which until 1970 belonged to Harde Dronninglund Herred in what was then Hjørring Amt . With the dissolution of the Harden structure, the parish was included in the municipality of Sæby in the newly established North Jutland Office , the municipality in turn merged with other municipalities in the enlarged municipality of Frederikshavn , which belongs to the North Jutland region , with the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .
Syvsten is about three kilometers southeast of Hørby , about 5 kilometers southwest of Sæby and about six kilometers northeast of Dybvad .
