Gærum is a Danish town with 640 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the north of Denmark. The village is located in the parish of the same name ( Gærum Sogn ), which until 1970 belonged to Harde Horns Herred in what was then Hjørring Amt . With the dissolution of the Harden structure, the parish was included in the municipality of Frederikshavn in the newly established North Jutland Office , the municipality in turn merged with other municipalities in the enlarged municipality of Frederikshavn , which belongs to the region of North Jutland , with the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .
Gærum is about seven kilometers southwest of Frederikshavn and about nine kilometers northwest of Sæby .
Attractions
The passage grave Blakshøj located west of Gærum, on Blakshøjgårdvej. Nearby is the Stenstuen (Gærum) and the Dysse, SB 160 .
