Halbjerg (or Haldbjerg ) is a Danish town with 331 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in northern Denmark. The village is located in the parish Understed ( Understed Sogn ), which until 1970 belonged to Harde Dronninglund Herred in what was then Hjørring Amt . With the dissolution of the Harden structure, the parish was included in the municipality of Sæby in the newly established North Jutland Office , the municipality in turn merged with other municipalities in the enlarged municipality of Frederikshavn , which belongs to the North Jutland region , with the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .
Halbjerg is about five kilometers south of Frederikshavn and about eight kilometers north of Sæby .
Close to the village is the 95 m high Øksnebjerg , from which you can see the island of Læsø and the three towns of Sæby, Frederikshavn and Skagen when the view is good .
