Stratham is a town in Rockingham County in the US state of New Hampshire .
The place between Portsmouth and Exeter belonged to the New Hampshire Colony of today's state as early as 1631 under Governor Captain Thomas Wiggin . It was connected in 1902 by the tram connection between these two places.
In addition to the headquarters of the shoe manufacturer Timberland, there is also a Lindt & Sprüngli production facility here .
