Striesa (Lebusa)
Striesa is a residential area in the district of Freileben of the municipality Lebusa in the district of Schlieben, district of Elbe-Elster in the state of Brandenburg .
geography
Striesa is in the northeast of the office Schlieben, on the road 70 between Kolochau and Dahme . The place is surrounded by coniferous and mixed forest. To the west and north of the village are arable land .
history
In 1376 the place was mentioned for the first time in a document as Strisow and official village of the office of Schlieben .
In 1474 there was a manor in Striesa that had emerged from a Vorwerk . At the beginning of the 15th century, the place was fiefdom of the von Drandorf family. In 1474 and 1529 11 Hüfner were named in Striesa , who managed 20 Erbhufen . There were also four to five cottages .
The castle, destroyed by lightning, lay on a hill in the village . The former village was in a small meadow valley between Weidmannsruher and Körbaer hills. Striesa had a church . The bells of the former church were given to Schlieben in the middle of the 19th century after a lightning strike destroyed the church tower. In 1912, Striesa had 76 inhabitants and was a suburb of the Lebusa manor . On July 1, 1950, Striesa was incorporated into the newly created town of Freileben.
