Studebaker Sky Hawk

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Studebaker Sky Hawk was a hardtop coupe without B-pillars that was only produced by the Studebaker-Packard Corporation in the 1956 model year. The Sky Hawk was actually part of the Studebaker President series. As one of four models that were available this year, it stood between the flagship Golden Hawk and the Power Hawk , a coupe with B-pillars. The Sky Hawk differed from the Golden Hawk in that it had less chrome trim and the lack of tail fins, and the interior was also less luxurious. The President's 4.7 liter V8 with 210 bhp (154 kW) served as the engine as standard or with 225 bhp (165 kW) for an extra charge.

The base price of the Sky Hawk was US $ 2,477 without special equipment. A total of 3,050 copies were made. In 1957 the model was withdrawn from the range.
