Studenec (German Brunn ) is a district of the municipality Nicov in the Czech Republic . It is located one and a half kilometers south of Nicov and belongs to the Okres Prachatice .

geography

Studenec is located in the Bohemian Forest on the northeast slope of the Mílovský vrch ( Millauer Berg , 994 m) above the Horský potok valley. The settlement is located in the Šumava Protected Landscape Area . To the north rises the Královský kámen ( Königsstein , 1058 m) and in the south the Popelná hora ( Ashberg , 1075 m).

Neighboring towns are Nicov in the north, Šebestov in the northeast, Chalupy in the east, Krousov and Sibíř in the southeast, Staré Hutě, Přední Zadov and Churáňov in the south, Popelná and Frejd in the southwest, Bílý Potok and Karlina Pila in the west and Červená, Bajerov and Kačerov in the Northwest.

history

The scattered settlement on Millauer Berg emerged from two groups of houses; the Brunnhäusern on the road from Stachau to Bergreichenstein and the Stieber houses southeast of the Millauer Berg on the saddle to the Ascheberg.

In 1838 the well and parlor houses consisted of eleven Dominikal houses with 80 inhabitants. The settlement was subordinate to the Millau village court . The parish was in Nitzau . Until the middle of the 19th century, the well and parlor houses of the Dominium Bergreichenstein remained subordinate.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Brunn / Brun 1850 a district of the municipality Nitzau in the judicial district Bergreichenstein. From 1868 Brunn belonged to the district of Schüttenhofen . The Czech place name Studenec was introduced in 1924. In 1938, Brunn fell to the German Reich through the Munich Agreement and was part of the Bergreichenstein district until 1945 . After the Second World War , the majority of the German-speaking residents were expelled . In 1949 Studenec was assigned to the newly formed Okres Vimperk. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960 Studenec came to Okres Prachatice and was umgemeindet to Stachy . In 1991 the place had ten residents. Since January 1st, 1993 Studenec belongs again to the municipality of Nicov. In 2001 the village consisted of six houses in which nine people lived. Studenec consists of a total of eleven houses.
