Řetenice (German Jettenitz ) is a district of the Czech municipality Nicov , Prachatitz district , in the South Bohemia region .
geography
The place is north of Nicov, at the foot of the north-eastern Královský kámen mountain in the Bohemian Forest . To the northwest lie the Chlum (962.4 m) and the Ždánov (1064.5 m). The village of Červená lies to the southeast. The road 145 runs through the village from Vimperk to Kašperské Hory , and the Zlatý potok ( Goldbach ) rises on the northeastern edge of the village . Řetenice is the last place before the border with Okres Klatovy .
history
Originally Řetenice belonged to the Karlsberg Castle . The place name changed several times over the years. So Řetenice is said to have originally been called Jitrce ("Small Field"), which later became Jidrec and then Jetenice . In 1584, Emperor Rudolf II sold the rule of Karlsberg to the royal mountain town of Bergreichenstein .
In 1838 Jettenitz or Gidryn consisted of 18 houses with 137 inhabitants. The planter mill ( Planský Mlýn ) with a few surrounding houses was located off. The parish was in Nitzau . Until the middle of the 19th century Jettenitz remained subordinate to the Dominium Bergreichenstein.
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Dětenice / Řetenice 1850 a district of the municipality Nitzau in the judicial district Bergreichenstein. From 1868 Jettenitz belonged to the Schüttenhofen district . In 1910 there were 169 inhabitants in the 24 houses in the village, six of whom were Czech. In 1938 Jettenitz fell to the German Reich through the Munich Agreement and belonged to the Bergreichenstein district until 1945 . After the Second World War , the majority of the German-speaking residents were expelled . 1949 Řetenice was assigned to the newly formed Okres Vimperk. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960 Řetenice came to Okres Prachatice and was umgemeindet to Stachy . In 1991 the place had 11 inhabitants. Since January 1st, 1993 Řetenice belongs again to the municipality of Nicov. In 2001 the village consisted of 16 houses in which 12 people lived.
Local division
The district Řetenice consists of the basic settlement units and cadastral districts Řetenice and Mílov ( Millau ). To Řetenice also includes the monolayer Kačerov, Peklo (Höllhof) , Plansky Mlyn (Plansker mill) and Ždanov (Zosumer Heger) .
