Style & das Geld is a song from the album Kenneth alone at home of the German rapper Kay One with the rapper Bushido , who appears on this song under the pseudonym Sonny Black .

As both Kay One and Bushido reported later in an interview, after the completion of the album Kenneth, the two discussed the first single at home alone . Bushido wanted Style & das Geld to be the first single, while Kay One preferred the song Ich brech die Herzen . In the end, videos were made for both songs within a short period of time, but I break my hearts as the first single on the album, while Style & das Geld was initially only released as a music video and later as a download single.
content
In terms of content, Style and Money deals with the portrayals of the protagonist's alcoholic and sexual party excesses. While the Bushido verse serving as the refrain contains a sample from his song "Zukunft" from Bushido's 2003 album Vom Bordstein bis zur Skyline , the opening line of both verses, " The only thing that interests me ... " is a quote from 2003 " Optical elements " published Lied Deutschlands 1 by Kool Savas and Kay One's former colleague and manager Eko Fresh .
Music video
On April 22nd, 2010 the music video for Style & the Money was released. Murat Aslan directed the video. It shows both rappers in sunglasses. At the beginning of the video Glöckler tries to speak to a woman, but this attempt at flirtation fails. Kay One can often be seen in a red vest and Bushido in a black vest and yellow t-shirt. Bushido's manager Arafat Abou-Chaker has a cameo in the video . Kay One later stated in interviews that the music video for Style & the money only cost € 800. The extras appearing in the video were asked to appear in the video the day before the shooting of Kay One while visiting a disco. By the end of 2013, the video had over 32 million views on YouTube and was in the meantime the most viewed German rap video on YouTube before it was outdone by the video for the song Easy by German rapper Cro . In the meantime (as of February 2015) the video has been viewed over 40 million times on YouTube.
In the course of the separation between Kay One and Bushido's label Ersguterjunge in spring 2012, the music video was temporarily blocked for several months by the latter party. Bushido mentioned in an interview that he wanted to return the favor with the blocking for personal reasons at Kay One, who had left Berlin and quit the label from Stuttgart.

Chart success
Style & das Geld did not succeed in making it into the German single charts after it was released as a download single. On the other hand, however, the title received attention from album critics and also outside of the genre boundaries, considerable views on Youtube.
Reviews
The e-zine laut.de explicitly highlighted the title in their reviews of the album Kenneth Alone at Home as the highlight of the album. The online site rap.de described the title as "low-stress music for a broad masses that can be quickly enjoyed." .
Live performances
Until Kay Ones separated from Ersguterjunge, Style & das Geld was a regular part of Bushido concerts, with Kay One acting as his backup rapper. On the occasion of a Bushido concert in the E-Werk in the city of Cologne , the football professionals Marcel Schmelzer , Mohammed Zidan and Roman Weidenfeller , who were then under contract with Borussia Dortmund, performed the title with Bushido and Kay One in May 2011.
A live version of Style & das Geld , which is also accompanied by the Berlin rapper Fler , was also released on August 14, 2010 on the live version of the Bushido album Zeiten bestellen .

Jan Böhmermann (as Kay Boehm ) and the Jadebuben interpreted this title in the 13th episode of Neo Magazin Royale and in episode 48 , the musical revue "Der Misérable" .
