The Sudarshini is a sailing training ship of the Indian Navy . The prefix of the ship's name is INS and stands for Indian Naval Ship ( German Indian naval ship ).
General
The ship is a replica of the Tarangini and was also built at the Goa Shipyard Limited in Vasco da Gama , India . The ins sudarshini ran 25 November 2011 from the pile and was on 27 January 2012 for the first school squadron in the naval base Kochi put into service. It is used on worldwide journeys for the nautical training of cadets .
The auxiliary sailor has a steel hull and is rigged as a three-masted barque. The sail area is 1035 m². Two marine diesel engines improve maneuverability and allow you to continue your journey even when there is no wind . With a ship's crew of 36 men and 30 cadets, the sea endurance is 20 days.
