The Sumène is a river in France that runs in the Haute-Loire department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the Massif du Meygal , in the municipality of Queyrières , generally drains in a westerly direction and flows after 25 kilometers at the hamlet of Peyredeyre , in the municipality of Chaspinhac , around five kilometers northeast of Le Puy-en-Velay , as a right tributary into the upper reaches of the Loire .
