The Sunntigerspitze is 2321  m above sea level. A. high summit in the Rosslochkamm north of the Hallerangeralm ( 1774  m above sea level ) in the Karwendel in Tyrol .

From the Hallerangerhaus , the easy and rewarding climb is usually on a marked trail past the Melzer monument (in memory of Otto Melzer and Emil Spötl, who fell fatally when attempting the first ascent of the north face of the eastern Praxmarerkarspitze ) to the Rosslochkamm and over the west ridge to the summit . The ascent of the mountain can be easily combined with the easy transition to the western Reps ( 2159  m above sea level ), the western corner of the ridge. East of the Sunntigerspitze, the Rosslochkamm continues to the Hallerangerspitze ( 2442  m above sea level ), the transition requires climbing in the third degree (points III UIAA). The wall falls to the north of the Rossloch are rarely used.

The name comes from Sunday and describes harmless terrain when herding, so that the shepherds could allow themselves some Sunday rest in the past.

The Rosslochkamm used to be a mining area ( Beim Silbernen Hansl and others) and is still a place where minerals were found today.
