Susan Seubert

Susan Seubert (* 1970 in Indianapolis , Indiana , USA ) is an American photographer and photojournalist .

Life

Seubert grew up in Indiana and completed her studies in professional photography in 1992 with the degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland (Oregon) from. Since then she has worked as a photojournalist for the National Geographic Society and its publications such as the magazine and National Geographic Traveler . The New York Times uses her photographs as do dozens of companies from various industries.

Seubert works artistically with some old techniques like the ambrotype as well as with today's digital media.

The European Cultural Center in Venice invited Seubert to show her work in an international group exhibition in 2017, which took place at the same time as the Biennale di Venezia . She showed pictures from the series Asphyxiation .

Seubert lives and works in Portland, Oregon, and on the island of Maui , Hawaii . She regularly gives guest lectures on her subject at Harvard University and the Portland Art Museum .
