The Suscha ( Russian Зуша ) is a right tributary of the Oka in central Russia .
The Suscha rises on the edge of the Central Russian Plate in the Tula Oblast . It initially flows in a south-westerly direction into Oryol Oblast . At Novosil the river turns to the northwest. There the river has rapids. The Suscha passes the middle town of Mtsensk and finally flows into the upper reaches of the Oka. The most important tributary of the Suscha is the Nerutsch from the left. The Suscha is navigable to Mtsensk .
The Suscha has a length of 234 km. It drains an area of 6950 km². The river is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The mean discharge at the gauge near Mtsensk is 28 m³ / s. The Suscha usually freezes in mid-December. At the end of March the river is free of ice again.
