Suzane Lira Pires (born August 17, 1992 in São Paulo , Brazil ) is a Portuguese soccer player .
Career
society
Pires played successfully futsal in Brazil as a teenager before moving to Germany in 2007 with her family in the greater Stuttgart area . There she first played in the youth teams of SV Vaihingen and VfL Sindelfingen , before moving to the district league club SV Möhringen , with whom she rose to the regional league. In 2010, after graduating from the International School Stuttgart , she enrolled at Southern Connecticut State University in the United States , where she played for the local university team of the Southern Connecticut Owls until 2013 . In early 2014 she was signed by the reserve team of NWSL participant Boston Breakers , for which she recorded six goals and five assists in eleven league games. Because of these performances, she was accepted into the first team of the Breakers for the 2015 season and made her debut on April 11, 2015 in the away game against Portland Thorns FC . At the beginning of 2016, Pires moved to the Brazilian first division club Santos FC .
National team
In October 2015, Pires was appointed to the Portuguese national team for the first time by national coach Francisco Neto , but was not used in the European Championship qualifier against Ireland . Her first international match was against Montenegro on November 26, 2015 .
