Sven Eggers (1999)

Sven Eggers (born September 24, 1965 in Hamburg ) is a German journalist and author who claims to be a right-wing extremist politician, u. a. acted as a candidate for the DVU in European elections.

He was the responsible editor of the national newspaper published by DSZ-Verlag and discontinued at the end of 2019 and was editor of the Deutsche Wochen-Zeitung, which was independent until 1999 . Eggers was the managing director of the parliamentary group of the German People's Union (DVU) in Bremen after the DVU had received six mandates in 1991. In the following years there were financial irregularities in the use of parliamentary group funds, whereupon the state of Bremen demanded large amounts back from the DVU. Eggers was a rhetorically well-trained political manager for the DVU and should help the DVU win as many state parliament mandates as possible in Germany. Furthermore, Eggers was chairman of the DVU regional association Hamburg, whereby the DVU always failed in the mayor election. Sven Eggers was responsible for a caricature that had been sent in large numbers to voters in Hamburg as a direct mail in the course of the election campaign. The charge of sedition Eggers was acquitted. In the federal election in 2005 Eggers ran on the state list of the NPD Baden-Württemberg . This was decided by the on the previous Federal Congress of the DVU Germany pact possible with the NPD. After the NPD state chairman Günter Deckert and five other candidates withdrew their candidacy, Eggers was first placed. Eggers' grandfather is the songwriter, poet and Obersturmführer of the Waffen-SS Kurt Eggers , who died in 1943 .
