Sven Gey

Sven Gey (* 1986 in Cologne ) is a German actor .

Life

Sven Gey grew up in the Rhineland . From 2008 to 2011 he completed his acting studies at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen , from which he graduated with an acting diploma. During his studies he had his first theater engagements at the Schauspielhaus Bochum (2010/2011) and at the Schauspiel Essen (2012). From August to October 2012 he was a guest at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg , where he took on the leading role of Daniel in the German premiere of Nina Raine's play Sippschaft .

From the 2012/13 season until 2014, he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the St. Gallen Theater for two seasons . There he played u. a. Christian von Neuvillette in Cyrano de Bergerac (2013/14), Graf Wetter vom Strahl in Das Käthchen von Heilbronn (2013), Ferdinand in Kabale und Liebe (2014), Fedotik in Drei Schwestern (2014) and Eteokles in Oedipus City , Thebes -Trilogy based on Sophocles , Euripides and Aeschylus , in the stage version by John von Düffel (2014). Since then he has been working as a freelance actor.

He had other theater engagements at the Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in Frankfurt am Main (2015), at the Stadttheater Luzern (2015; as "Er" in Bin next door by Ingrid Lausund ) and at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg (2015; as station master Thomas Hudetz in The Youngest Day by Ödön von Horváth ).

In March 2016 he played in the one-person play The Turning Point , based on the autobiography of Klaus Mann , in the Maschinenhaus Essen. In May 2016 he appeared in the Maschinenhaus Essen in Mythomania by Simina German, where he played the alleged Swedish serial killer Sture Bergwall .

Gey also worked in film and television . He played u. a. in the film Pixel Shade , which was produced and shown by ZDF as part of the series “ Das kleine Fernsehspiel ” . He had a supporting role in the television film Sternstunde ihr Leben (2014), in which Iris Berben played the role of Elisabeth Selbert , one of the “mothers of the Basic Law ”; he played Elisabeth Selbert's son Gerd. In September 2016, Gey was seen in the ZDF crime series Die Rosenheim-Cops in an episode role; he played the suspected freerunner Hans Hirschberger. In the 17th season (first broadcast from September 2018) of the ZDF series SOKO Cologne , he had an episode role as veterinarian Dr. Fabian Giffner; he played the suspect in the murder victim's office. In the 5th season of the ZDF series Bettys Diagnose (2018) he was the father of a little boy who is looking for Santa Claus .

Sven Gey lives in Cologne.
