Sven Lakenmacher (born May 26, 1971 in Magdeburg ) is a German handball trainer and former handball player .

Sven Lakenmacher was active in his career for SC Magdeburg , TV Großwallstadt , Portland San Antonio , TuS Nettelstedt and most recently for the second division club Eintracht Hildesheim . With the latter he played again in the first division in the 2006/07 season; However, when the immediate resurgence failed in 2007/08, there was a radical upheaval among the people of the Cathedral, whereupon Lakenmacher was also sorted out. In the summer of 2008 he became a player trainer at HF Springe .

In the summer of 2011, Lakenmacher took over the coaching position of the second team at TSV Hannover-Burgdorf , with whom he became champion in the Lower Saxony Oberliga in 2011/12 and was promoted to the 3rd division . He has been in possession of the A trainer license since June 2013. For the 2014/15 season he switched to the HF Springe as a trainer . Since summer 2016 he has been a trainer at Sportfreunde in Söhre and at the end of the season he won the championship title in the association league and will be promoted to the top division for the 2017/2018 season. Under his leadership, Springe rose to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2015. He was given leave of absence in December 2015.

For the German national team he played 47 times from 1993 to 2000 and scored 93 goals. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 he finished fifth with the German team.

Sven Lakenmacher is the son of the long-time GDR national player and handball trainer Wolfgang Lakenmacher .
