Svetlana Vladimirovna Nikolajewa ( Russian Светлана Владимировна Николаева ; born July 3, 1987 in Krasavino ) is a Russian cross-country skier .

Career

Nikolayeva has been taking part in competitions of the Fédération Internationale de Ski since 2005 . She ran her first World Cup race in October 2007 in Düsseldorf , which she finished with 33rd place in the sprint. She got her first World Cup points in December 2007 in Kuusamo with 23rd place in the sprint. At the Tour de Ski 2007/08 she reached 44th place in the overall ranking. At the U23 World Championships 2010 in Hinterzarten , she won bronze over 10 km classic and in the 15 km pursuit race. In February 2011 she achieved her first and so far only podium in the World Cup with second place in the relay in Rybinsk . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 , she came in 26th place over 10 km classic. She achieved her best individual World Cup result so far in January 2014 in Szklarska Poręba with ninth place in the sprint. At the Russian cross-country skiing championships in 2014 in Tyumen , she won silver over 10 km classic. In January 2015 at the Winter Universiade 2015 in Štrbské Pleso she won bronze in the sprint and gold over 15 km freestyle and with the relay. At the Rollerski World Championships 2015 in Val di Fiemme , she won the bronze medal in the team sprint together with Ksenia Konohova . In August 2017, she was fifth in the 16 km mass start race at the 2017 Rollerski World Championships in Sollefteå and won the bronze medal in the 18 km freestyle. In the summer of 2019, she won two second and one third place, third place in the overall standings of the Roller Ski World Cup . At the Rollerski World Championships 2019 in Madona , she won the bronze medal in the team sprint.
