Shan Rahimkhan (actually Khashayar Rahimkhan ; born October 27, 1972 in Tehran ) is an Iranian-German hairdresser and entrepreneur .

Shan Rahimkhan was born in 1972 as the second child of an Iranian teacher and an Iranian engineer. From the age of 13 he lived with his uncle in Vienna . During this time Rahimkhan took Austrian citizenship. He later moved into a Kolping House .

Rahimkhan has an older sister and a younger brother. He has been married since 2003. In 2007 his son was born. Rahimkhan has lived in Berlin since 1995 and now has German citizenship.

Life

Rahimkhan was supposed to be a doctor in Vienna, but in 1988 he trained as a hairdresser and wig maker. He then worked in the renowned Viennese salon "Jacques Dessange". At the age of 18, Rahimkhan received his journeyman's certificate and from then on worked in various salons in New York City , Los Angeles , Paris and London . In 1995 Shan Rahimkhan moved to Berlin, where he initially worked as a hairdresser for Udo Walz .

In 1997 he joined Andreas Hagn's hairdressing salon, which Rahimkhan later ran independently. In November 2005 he opened an 800 square meter concept store on Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin with a hairdressing area, café / bistro and boutique. In 2010 Rahimkhan developed his own haircare series. In November 2012, Shan Rahimkhan opened a branch on Kurfürstendamm . Rahimkhan employs a total of 110 people in his companies. In June 2013 Rahimkhan got involved with the Berlin Fairchance Foundation and donated the entire daily turnover to the “ Mitschrift ” project, which supports children with a migration background and at schools with a focus on learning German.

Rakimkhan works as a hairdresser and stylist at Berlin Fashion Week and is part of the GQ CARE AWARDS jury. Rahim Khan was one of the selected stylists who for the appearance of the athletes at the 2012 Summer Games in London were responsible. The lifestyle magazine for women myself recently described Rahimkhan as “Germany's new star hairdresser”.

Shan Rahimkhan's customers include numerous celebrities , such as the actors Jodie Foster , Leonardo DiCaprio and Nicole Kidman , Katja Flint and Iris Berben , the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Tony Blair , top model Lena Gercke , national soccer coach Joachim Löw , the former boxing world champion Regina Halmich and the former world champion in swimming Franziska van Almsick .
