Sylvain Bataille
Sylvain Bataille (born July 22, 1964 in Soissons , France ) is a French clergyman and bishop of Saint-Étienne .
Life
Sylvain Bataille received on 11 March in 1989 by the Bishop of Beauvais , Adolphe-Marie Hardy , the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On May 18, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Saint-Étienne. The Archbishop of Lyon , Philippe Cardinal Barbarin , donated him episcopal ordination on July 3 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Beauvais, Jacques Benoit-Gonnin , and the Archbishop of Rouen , Dominique Lebrun . The inauguration took place on July 4, 2016.
