The synagogue in Dillingen / Saar , a town in the Saarlouis district in Saarland , was built in 1923/24. The former synagogue was located at Schlossstrasse 5.

history

In 1904 the Jewish community of Dillingen asked the authorities for permission to collect in favor of building a synagogue. According to plans by the architects Sommer and Schleich, a synagogue was finally built in 1923/24 by converting a residential building.

In 1935 the synagogue was sold after a large part of the parishioners left. Nevertheless, she was at the November pogrom on 9/10. Looted and set on fire November 1938.

A memorial stone for the destroyed synagogue was erected on November 9, 2003.
