Synewyrska Polyana ( Ukrainian Синевирська Поляна ; Russian Синевирская Поляна Sinewirskaja Polyana , Hungarian Felsőszinevér , Slovak Sinovirská Polana, Sinijvirská Polyana ) is a mountain village in the Carpathians in the north of the Ukrainian Zakarpattia Oblast with a population of 1,300 (2004).

In the village there is a listed wooden church from 1817.

Geographical location

The village is located 818  m above sea level in the Synevyr National Park at the source of the Tereblja , an 80 km long tributary of the Tisza and close to the Synevyr lake, which gives the national park its name .

Territorial road T-07-24 begins in the village . The district center Mishhirja is 26 km southwest and the oblast center Uzhhorod 165 km west of the village.

local community

The village is the administrative center of the 7.1 km² district council in Mishhirja Rajon , founded in 1921, which includes the villages Swoboda ( Свобода ) with about 230 inhabitants, Sahorb ( Загорб ) with about 70 inhabitants and Berehy ( Береги ) with around 200 inhabitants.
