Valley villages

The villages located on the Roda and its upper tributaries are called valley villages. The area of ​​the valley villages is located in the southeast of the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia . These places are

The valley villages are characterized by their typical settlement structure along the respective stream and the resulting length of the places. The places are also characterized by the many preserved half-timbered houses and courtyard structures.
