The Třešťský potok ( German Trieschbach ) is a right tributary of the Jihlava in the Czech Republic .

geography

The Třešťský potok rises two and a half kilometers north of the Javořice in the Jihlava Mountains (Jihlavské vrchy) in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . Its source is located southeast of Janštejn on the northwest slope of Michův vrch ( Michelberg , 786  m ) below the saddle to Velký Skalní vrch ( 785  m ). It initially flows east and is dammed in the Malý pařezitý rybník and other ponds. About Řídelov and Doupě the stream reaches Třeštice . Then it changes its course in a northerly direction and flows over Janov and Hodice to Třešť . Above the town, the Třešťský potok feeds the Váňovský rybník pond, to the north the Jezdovický rybník. Other places on the run are Nový Mlýn, Jezdovice and Salavice. The Luční rybník and Silniční rybnik ponds are also located on the lower reaches. At Kostelec , the Třešťský potok flows into the Jihlava after 30.3 km.

The Kostelec u Jihlavy - Slavonice railway follows the course of the Třešťský potok to Janov .
