Coup attempt in 2016

After the failed coup attempt in Turkey , The Times reported that the Supreme Commander, Admiral Veysel Kösele, and fourteen Turkish naval warships were missing in the Aegean and Black Seas . However, this representation could not be confirmed. Instead, it became known that putschists had brought the Yavuz into their power at the Gölcük naval base . When they wanted to leave the port with the kidnapped Admiral Kösele on board, they prevented other warships from doing so and the Admiral was finally freed.
